Draco/Ginny: Fire and Ice
This pair is actually more like a Romeo and Juliet pair. And it's no where near canon. But I do have to say it is pretty cute. Honestly, I didn't become a fan of this until I saw the CoS movie, due to me not even knowing what ships were when PS came out.
Oh! For those that don't know why it's called Fire and Ice. Fire represents Ginny, since she's a redhead and a Gryffie. And Ice is Draco, because his hair is like silverish blonde and due to be a "cold-hearted" Slytherin.

I always used to RP Ginny/Draco back in the day before I decided I liked Harry/Ginny. I still absolutely LOVE it though; I'm guilty of reading G/D fanfic ALL. THE. TIME. It keeps me occupied <s>when I'm not selling my soul to G-A hahah</s>. I like it because I really love the controversy and I *LOVE* when Draco realizes he has feelings for Ginny (or vice-versa) and I've read some really good G/D fics. :]

I love this ship! These are my favorite fanfictions to read. So long as they are not too fluffy. I don't like it when Draco goes way too soft. Or when Ginny is whiny and pathetic. But I love the forbidden love thing. And yeah I like the idea that Draco notices Ginny since she is "fire" and a strong individual.

Fire & Ice is pretty interesting to me. Mainly because Draco and Ginny don't get a lot of interaction in the books. So when you read fanfics, it's really easy for the authors to play around with the characters and the status of their relationship and all that stuff. I guess I just find myself loving pairings like this, that require some growth from both sides before they can actually happen. Too much fluff is not cool, though. I'm guilty of liking some fluff from time to time, but it gets a little too unrealistic for me. Buut, fluff or non-fluff these two are basically awesome.

I occasionally will read fics with these two together in them and I gotta say, even though I'm more of a Harry/Ginny shipper, I like these two together quite a lot as well.
