I am trying my damnedest to go. I've been trying since last year when I met you all online and it was Keri and Shar talked about. But I am going to be getting the registration money soon so I can have my spot saved. Then all I have to worry about is hotel and travel expenses. I am not even going to take food into consideration. You do not eat at a convention.

I'm going to hopefully stay at the hotel. I just wish I had someone to split the room with since it's so expensive omg.

Definitely hit me up with splitting a hotel. If we could get two more people, even better. For five days it would be $1000, but split 4 ways would be $250 each. Airline stuff shouldn't be too bad if you look for the right prices. I'm going to get my dad to help me spot the best flights and deals. He may even have points or something for Southwest, I'm not sure.

But, I'm going to register sometime soon. Hopefully by the end of August. I just need to pitch it to my mom and get hotel info settled.

I'm definitely trying to get costs together for this so I can go, hopefully pasing the idea off as some sort of senior gift to my parents so they'll help me cover the costs if I can't manage. I'm saving already though. Anyway if you're interested in splitting a room Taryn and Kelly that would definitely be helpful for me because it would cut the cost wayyy down. I'm registering soon I hope before the price shoots up some more I've just gotta make sure I've got all the money stuff and hotel business together

Hey, Taryn and Vicki. I am all for splitting a room price with you guys! And if we can get one more on board, even better! My mom called the hotels like 6 months ago and talked to them about it so she has the most information about it so I don't have a problem organizing it and seeing what the final price would be so you can just like, Paypal me your cut. We have plenty of time to organize it though.

I was thinking Paypal would be best, too. This is what I do at work, LOL. But yeah, that's awesome! I'm really excited! Kelly, Rae actually expressed interest in coming but she doesn't know if she can afford it. So that may be a fourth person. Otherwise, we'll need to find someone else. This is really exciting!

SO WHO'S EXCITED FOR LEAKYCONNNNNN?

I've already booked my registration rrrrrrready to go! I have no idea how I'm going to wait a year for it, since I've already got so much pent-up excitement in me!

I second what's been said so far about the resort hotels -- I just came back from a visit there myself, and I stayed at the Hard Rock Hotel, the third Universal Resort hotel. It's definitely worth trying to get one of Leaky's discounted rates, because staying on site will make things A LOT easier, and seriously, your room key/fast pass will become your BABY, especially if you're looking into exploring the rest of the parks they have to offer, when the July queues can be manic without it. And considering an unlimited fast pass costs something like $75 a day normally, it's a terrific deal! The early entrance is also a godsend, and I mostly only went in WWoHP during that early entry time, as it was much quieter. A few days we queued up outside the park waiting for it to open to resort hotel guests, and one day it opened at something like 7:30AM, one and a half hours early! So there are lots of benefits to staying there, and with the discounts/room sharing it's pretty reasonable pricing too!

So I hope to see lots of you there next year, I can't wait to meet more of you!

I JUST BOOKED A ROOM AT THE ROYAL PACIFIC! I called them because the website kept giving me a different rate than $185. I dunno if it's because I want 4 people in a room instead of 2 or what. But when I called the guy didn't ask how many guests so I just ignored that LOL. I am sososososo excited now though! I'm nervously waiting for my confirmation email, I better get it

FYI, just in case nobody knew: you only have to pay a deposit the day you book, you won't have to pay the full bill until you check out. I think the deposit is around $200. Also, I booked our room from the 12-17th. The con doesn't officially start till the 13th but I read on the LeakyCon FAQs (and had also been thinking about this for a while) that they might bump it up a day in case DH gets moved to being released on Wednesday which I wouldn't be surprised. I refuse to miss ANYTHING.

Omg, the idea of being like rooms away or a floor away (whatever it is) from you guys makes me so 8')))))))))

I JUST registered and I got my confirmation and receipt e-mails and saved them in my "Important Info" folder so it's all official. Next step is hotel deposit and then in a few months I'll buy my plane ticket. Those both involve coordination with some fabulous people I know, too.

i AM SO EXCITED! And, I'm with you Jenny! I don't know how I'm going to wait a year! Not only am I excited to finally go to WWoHP, but to meet all of you and go to Universal for the first time. When I registered, I also signed up for Lit Day so I hope some of you are going to that, too! If not, I think I'm going to be really sad but I'm going anyway.

So, for all of us who are going, we should maybe start a social group or something and plan on meeting up and stuff. Jenny, Shar and Keri, you should totally come play N64 with Kelly and me in our room! I'm thinking we need to plan some epic parties.

So leaky just confirmed that the universal hotel people are douches and you have to have a 21 year old in the room. They're not really clear if the 21 yr old has to be the one to book the room or not so I'm not sure about that. I dunno if it's gonna be a problem for you guys and if you're going to need to find someone. I know Cat wants to go and shes over 21. I hope this doesn't turn into a huge problem . They also have a forum at leaky lounge where people are looking and offering to room.

That's really a pain in the butt of Orlando to do. I mean, they should take into consideration that at a con, there are going to be people between 18 and 20 wanting a room. I would consider myself old enough to have a room of my own. |(
