Volume #11, September 1st, 2023 Grey Trials Commence by: Darius Saldaroosh With the return of students to Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry, so begins the trial of the Gregory and Amelia Grey, the Muggle couple arrested earlier this year for ties to the kidnappings that occurred throughout Great Britain within the past year. Proceedings began on September 1 at the Ministry of Magic. So far, the couple has not given up any information on the other individuals involved in this case. On top of the kidnapping charges, the Greys are also being prosecuted for the murder of Hogwarts student Bailey Stevenson, a seventh-year Hufflepuff who was hit by the Killing Curse while attempting to protect a younger, Muggleborn, student. While they are not capable of performing the Killing Curse themselves, it is thought to be likely that they know the individual who did. The Ministry of Magic is encouraging that everyone not travel alone now, as the followers of the Greys are still at large.
